Effusion lamps are a decorative and functional
combination of air purification with the pleasures of exotic fragrances. They
are also called fragrance lamps, aroma lamps or catalytic fragrance lamps. They
are the perfect way to spread subtle fragrance notes throughout your home while
the air purification technology destroys all odors and airborne bacteria. The
effusion lamp uses a special stone that stays hot and converts fragranced lamp
fuel into negatively charged ions. Effusion lamps are great for high pollutant
environments such as mildew, tobacco, fire place, pet or fish smells. We
immediately fell in love with Effusion lamps when we tried them and they are
easy and safe to use.
Effusion lamps require a special fragrance fuel and when lit
or “turned on”, the fragrance is dispersed without an open flame. The only time
a flame is required is when your effusion lamp is initially lit. The burning of
the fuel through the catalytic stone releases both oxygen and anion that
purifies the air and remove odors. Effusion lamps are very safe and can be left
alone while you are out or sleeping. I love coming home to my dogs and not
smelling them!
Each
Effusion lamp has a decorative bottle that holds the fragranced fuel. The
catalytic stone (wick/stone assembly) is the core of the lamp that releases
fragrance and anion. The snuffer cap protects the catalytic stone and stops
stone function or “turns off” the lamp. The top cover (decorative shade) is
placed over the stone after extinguishing the flame to protect the stone add an
elegant touch. It also helps to hold the heat in for the stone.
