Hurricane Insert
These sleeves make it incredibly fast and easy to make hurricaine and embedded candles. Just choose a size 1" smaller in diameter than the mold that you will be using.

| Instructions for Embedded/Hurricane Candles Step 1: select an insert size approximately 1" smaller than the mold you have. Step 2: Place the insert inside the mold before pouring the wax. (pictured in back of inserts). Step 3: Arrange your items to embed between the wall of the mold and the insert then pour your wax filling both cavities. Step 4: When the wax solidifies between the mold and the insert, gently twist the insert and remove it from the mold. The wax should be tacky enough to hold your embedded items in place. If you are making a hurricane candle you can then pour the remaining hot wax back into your melting pot. If you are making an embedded candle, let the candle cool and repour if necessary. I like to use our wick pins when making these types of candles so that wicking the mold does not become a complicated issue. |
